Privacy Policy — Calorie Tracker

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Calorie Tracker app ("the app") handles your information. Calorie Tracker is published by the app's developer and is available on Google Play.

Summary

Calorie Tracker is an offline app. Everything you enter stays on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. The app is designed to function fully offline without any external services.

What the app stores on your device

The app saves the following information in the app's private storage on your device. This data is stored locally on your device and is not accessed or transmitted by the app.

Your profile (from setup)

Your log entries

App preferences

When you delete an entry, it is removed from the app's visible data. Some data may remain in system storage until it is overwritten or the app's data is cleared by the user or operating system.

How your data is kept safe

Your information is stored in the app's private storage area on your device, which other apps cannot read. Because the app never sends your data anywhere, there is no transfer that could be intercepted. For the strongest protection, keep your device secured with a PIN, password, or fingerprint/face lock.

Data we collect

None. The app has no backend server and makes no network requests to send your data anywhere. We have no access to any information you enter.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. The notification text ("Don't forget to log today's calories.") is generated on your device and does not involve any server.

Bug reports

The app includes a Report a bug feature that opens your device's email app. No data is sent automatically. Any information you choose to send is handled by your email provider's privacy policy.

Permissions

No other permissions are requested.

Android backup

Android may automatically back up app data (including your profile and entries) to your Google account via Google's Auto Backup feature. This backup is private to your Google account and is used only to restore your data if you reinstall the app. Google's privacy policy and terms apply to data stored in Google Drive backups. You can disable Auto Backup for this app at any time in your Android settings.

Deleting your data

Your rights (EU/EEA users)

Because all of your data stays on your device and is never sent to us, we never receive, access, or store it — so there is nothing for us to look up, change, or delete on your behalf. You stay in full control: you can view, edit, and delete your data directly in the app, or clear all of it at any time (see "Deleting your data" above).

If you have a privacy concern about this app, you have the right to contact your local data protection authority.

Children

The app is intended for users 14 years and older and is not directed to children under 14. It does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Health disclaimer

Calorie and macro targets shown in the app are estimates for informational and educational purposes only and are not medical advice. Consult a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet, especially if you have a health condition or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app adds optional accounts or cloud sync, this policy will be updated before that feature ships. Any new data handling will be clearly described and opt-in only.

Third-party services

This app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
